Amy Northcott

Amy is a born and bred Barossan, so it’s fair to say she has a soft spot for Australia’s most famous wine region.

While completing her journalism degree, Amy worked in a couple of the Barossa’s top cellar doors, pouring tastings and talking about aromas and fermentation, meaning she’s pretty well-versed in wine. She loves visiting Australia’s wine regions – particularly McLaren Vale, with its delicious grenache and stunning seaside backdrop.

Amy moved to Sydney to join the Winecraft and Gourmet Traveller WINE team in January 2019, and although she’ll never say no to a crisp rosé on a summer’s day, you’ll always find her with a glass of red in hand, no matter the weather. As they say, you can take the girl out of the Barossa…
